Our Shining Stars

Ethan

Ethan is 9 years old and lives with myself and his dad, as well his sister who is 11 years old. He struggles with some fine motor skills, auditory/visual sensitivities, and the ability to regulate his body at appropriate times. I know that Occupational Therapy can help with all these things.

He's been working at OT Studio and I believe it's been helping. He seems more confident and able to use his words more often when feeling dysregulated. I think Occupational Therapy is important because it's helping him learn to filter out things that make him uncomfortable, and in turn he's expressing himself with more self-control. Continuing will help lower our family’s stress level incredibly. It will also help him in general, with social, emotional, and academic skills.

The results we've seen so far have been positive, and we really hope to continue so that he can continue to improve filtering things that make him uncomfortable. Getting this type of support is very expensive, and really adds up when more than one child needs multiple services. Ethan's sister is in need of some OT support, right now, and cutting down his cost would be the only way we can make that happen.
